Women groups themselves keep the records of saving and credit and group activities; they select group leaders on rotation basis. Training on promotion of savings and credit practices and other allied topics have been organised to enable the groups perform in a better way.
Skill development training are periodically organised to enable the women group members take agro-based income generation activities. Hundreds of women have been imparted training in basket weaving, sikki crafts, papad making and food processing. A few training in non-agro based income generation activities like tailoring have also been organised. All the women who have been imparted training are engaged in different income generation activities and supporting their families with additional income.
All Kasturba Mahila Mandal members have been made literate through women literacy campaign. The organisation believes that the literacy campaign is not an end in itself, but a mean for community organisation and mass education and awareness.
