reproductiveAwareness regarding health, particularly reproductive health is being created through health fairs and health fairs. Platform of Kasturba Mahila Mandals and other groups is also used to create awareness about health issues. Other tools of health awareness are: baby shows, healthy mothers, couple communication, competition for better health practices, promotion of family planning means and consciousness generation.

To provide affordable health services the organisation runs a clinic managed by a team of doctors, ANMs, village health workers and community health workers. Clinical services include pregnant women's care and delivery services by doctor, ANMs and trained clinic staffs, ring pressure for uterus prolapsed, basic treatment of sexually transmitted infections, reproductive tract infection, contraception promotion and referrals. Sterilisation camps are organised from time to time.

This clinic also doubles up as an outreach centre.

Promotion of Traditional Health System

Traditional health system, or alternative medicine system, is being promoted in 40 villages of three development blocks of Madhubani district. Under this activity, intensive awareness camps are being conducted in Mahila Mandals. Members of gram sabha have been oriented on traditional health system. The traditional health practitioners are preparing herbal medicines in their respective areas of practice and making them available to the people.

In addition to these qualitative outcomes, this programme has brought some sustainable behavioural change in the community. This has led villagers adopt sound health practices and is reflected in village cleanness drive, safe drinking water after boiling, improved sanitary practices by women and promotion of herbal and kitchen gardens in the families.

HIV/AIDS
Under HIV interventions, awareness about HIV/AIDS is being created among youths, adolescents, women and migrant labours so as to protect them from the deadly disease. HIV/AIDS patients are being mainstreamed with development works through local CSOs.

The organisation is running a Migrant Information Centre. It is promoting access to care and treatment by establishing a Community Care Centre for PLHIV in Saran district of Bihar.

It has also established an Information, Resource and Advocacy Centre on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and gender at Muzaffarfur for North Bihar area.
