Aims and Objectives

Formation and strengthening of people's groups is one of the major objectives of the organisation The following are aims and objectives of GPSVS:

Formation of people's organisation (for women and youths) and strengthen the capacity of marginalised community for sustainable development
To organise right based awareness and advocacy and provide related support
To develop the socio-economic condition of the down trodden and the poorest of the poor (antyodayee)
To enable and ensure the basic rights of marginalised community and persons with disability
To provide quality elementary educational and vocational training facilities for the children, adolescents and women
To preserve the cultural heritage and indigenous skills of the area
To ensure gender equity and women's empowerment
To provide community and reproductive child health (informative, preventive and curative measures) services
To promote traditional/alternative health care systems
To develop community based disaster mitigation in affected areas
To improve ecological balance to protect environment
To re-establish village self-governance
